As much as my family loves breakfast food, we aren’t always hungry for a meal as soon as we wake up. As a feeder, it really bothers me sending them to school on an empty stomach. So I started whipping up fruit smoothies because they’re quick and good for you and easy to take along on the walk or ride to school. They are super filling and equally satisfying. Even if my kids aren’t hungry, they’ll sip their breakfast smoothie. This mango smoothie is my 8-year-old’s favourite and even my anti-veggie 6-year-old has no idea there’s carrots blended in! This is a great way to add veggies to picky eaters diets as you cannot detect the taste of carrots one bit. I buy frozen fruits for smoothies so that I don’t have to bother peeling and chopping fruits and I don’t have to worry about adding ice cubes.

Ingredients

1 cup frozen chopped mango
1 cup 2% organic milk
1 ripe banana
1/3 cup chopped carrots (I pre-chop a bunch and keep them in the fridge)

Directions

Put all the ingredients into your blender. Blend well. I use a Nutribullet.
