At the time, however, our home didn&#8217;t present many opportunities for her to practice pulling up because most of our flat surfaces were just a bit too high for her to get any leverage. I noticed that at her weekly baby gym class she would gravitate to the little parallel bars for kids to practice pulling up. As soon as I saw them I knew I could easily make my own version, so off to Home Depot I went to get what I needed for my DIY Pull up bars for babies.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Supplies needed for pull up bars:<\/h6>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-4023\" src=\"https:\/\/mabelslabels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IMG_97861.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"398\" height=\"598\" srcset=\"https:\/\/mabelslabels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IMG_97861.jpg 682w, https:\/\/mabelslabels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IMG_97861-200x300.jpg 200w, https:\/\/mabelslabels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IMG_97861-175x263.jpg 175w, https:\/\/mabelslabels.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/04\/IMG_97861-450x676.jpg 450w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 398px) 100vw, 398px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\r\n<li>Several pieces of 3\/4&#8243; PVC pipe, cut into various lengths: 2 24&#8243; pieces, 4 12&#8243; pieces, 2 14&#8243; pieces and 4 7&#8243; pieces<\/li>\r\n<li>4 elbow joints<\/li>\r\n<li>4 &#8220;T&#8221; joints<\/li>\r\n<li>4 end caps<\/li>\r\n<li>A roll of colored duck tape.<\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<h6 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Instructions for DIY Pull ups bars for babies:<\/h6>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>First, I attached the &#8220;T&#8221; pieces to the rest of the pieces.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>As a last step, I wrapped the top pieces of the bars with colored duct tape so that baby would be better able to grip the bars.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Super easy project and really cheap!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>I think we spent less than $20 for all the supplies. You can&#8217;t beat that! One thing I would suggest doing that I didn&#8217;t do would be to put little rubber pads on the bottom of the bars so they don&#8217;t slide when your baby leans on them. Or, if you can find a clever way to weight the &#8220;feet&#8221; of the bars, that would work too. If you have a crawler at home, this is a definite must-do project!
