You definitely want to keep <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ultra-fresh.com\/black-mold-in-water-bottle#:~:text=Studies%20have%20shown%20that%20white,with%20soap%20and%20warm%20water.\">fungus and mold<\/a> out of these hard-to-reach places.<\/p>\n<p>Whatever brand you own, it\u2019s worth two extra minutes to check the company\u2019s website for relevant tips and information. A high-quality water bottle isn\u2019t cheap to replace, so you\u2019ll be protecting your investment as you maximize your disinfecting efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Here are some extra tips for washing water bottles:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disassemble as many parts as possible, and wash separately.<\/li>\n<li>When hand washing, use a rounded bottle brush to get at the inner bottom part of the bottle. Rinse thoroughly.<\/li>\n<li>Scrub the outer bottom of the bottle vigorously, since it may have been set down on any number of germy surfaces, like a water fountain or bathroom floor.<\/li>\n<li>For deeper cleaning, fill the bottle halfway with white vinegar, then top up the rest of the way with warm water.
