Excellent!

"This is the first time I used the iron on ones and I absolutely love them! I initially tried every laundry labels and they were horrible. These are absolutely fantastic and wash up wonderfully and don’t come off! And look just as good as the day I ironed them on after multiple washings!"

Quality has gone down

"I’ve purchased labels from this company for years and this year they are not the same. I was suggested iron on bc they discontinued other clothing labels I loved and they are difficult and dangerous to apply. Ruined clothing later and I will be discarding the remainder of my labels."

— Emily (1/5)

Slow shipping, Iron on not staying

"I paid to have these shipped the fastest. It took over a week to arrive and unfortunately arrived late. The labels are cute but did not stay on after one wash. Very disappointing that it was not only expensive, but they arrived late and did not work appropriately."

— Natalie S. (2/5)

Excellent product

"My father is now in long term care and having the opportunity to be able to label his clothing is a wonderful thing. I am grateful for this product. Thank you Mabel’s Labels."

Great product, great experence!

"When I was a kid, all I got was a lousy laundry marker. The cool kids had their moms do iron-on labels. This year, as I hosted my four-year-old grandson for day camp, I said to myself, "no more. " My daughter recommended Mabel's Labels. The selections were fabulous. I thought there was no way a kid like mine would notice the awesome dinosaurs and basketballs, but GREAT SUCCESS. My grandson felt like the coolest kid. Thank you Mabel's. Fantastic products - we tried three: iron-on, no-iron and bigger no-iron. You made it so easy. Kudos to the wonderful staff who made it so easy and pleasant."

My Personalized Clothing Tags

"I chose a simple black on white design - one line. Images were sharp and cuts were lean making them easy to get off the page and adhere to the fabric. Looks great!"

Peeling Off After 1 Wash

"First year to daycare/preschool and I needed clothing labels. I'd heard good things about Mabel's Labels in Reddit groups so tried both the iron-on and the stick on for clothing. They were so cute and easy to apply! But disappointed that after 1 wash, some of the iron-on as well as some of the stickers are coming off the clothing already. Will need to find an alternative."

Labels did not even stay on for one wear

"I followed the directions to apply the labels. Literally the first time my daughter wore an item a couple days later, half the label peeled off - I hadn’t even washed the clothing yet."

— Brittney (1/5)

Extremely disappointed

"I heard this company had good reputations so gave it try. . . . I was extremely disappointed. . . . . . after first wash, the iron labels was ruined. . . . you can barely see the name. What a waste of money and time to iron on all of my kid clothing. . . . . I wish they refund me"

Q&A

Will it iron onto fleece or flannel?
Hi! The iron-on labels will definitely work on flannel! For the fleece, it may be too fluffy and texturized to apply properly on those fuzzy materials. You could add them on the care tag inside the clothing item instead, where it's a flatter surface. It will bond better :-)
What materials are the iron on labels made of?
Hi Taryn, thanks for your question! The Iron On Clothing Labels are made of a nylon material. We'll reach out to you directly in case you have other questions!
Will this label adhere to a knitted garment like a wool sweater?
Hi Anne, the Iron On Clothing Labels work best on smooth fabrics, so it would depend on the weave and texture of the wool sweater. We have a 100% Satisfaction Guarantee if you'd like to try them!

FAQ

Frequently
asked questions

Browse our FAQ page or contact us and we'll help you with your purchase.
What fabrics can I use Iron-On Clothing Labels on?

They work on most iron-safe fabrics, including cotton, cotton blends, fleece, jersey, and most sports uniforms. They're the answer for everything a stick-on label can't handle!

Always check the clothing's own care instructions first. If the fabric can't take a medium-hot dry iron, it isn't a fit for an iron-on label, and a Custom Clothing Stamp is the better option for that item.

How do I apply my Iron-On Clothing Labels?

  • Peel to remove Clothing Label from backing and place face up on fabric so that text is showing.

  • Cover the Iron On Label with supplied parchment paper and iron over with a DRY iron, between a MEDIUM-HOT (cotton) setting, no steam.

  • Press firmly over the label for 10 seconds. Repeat as needed to ensure the label is firmly applied and not lifting at any edge.

  • Allow to cool before use.

  • For best results wait 12 to 24 hours before laundering.

Why are my Iron-On Clothing Labels falling off in the laundry?

We guarantee that our Iron-On Clothing Labels will stick through thick and thin; they should fuse to the fabric and stay put. When this doesn’t happen, it’s usually because the iron wasn’t hot enough when the labels were first applied. Try re-ironing them at a higher heat setting, and don’t use steam (you may have to remove the water from your iron). If you continue to experience problems, please contact us!

Where's the best place to put an iron-on label?

Choose a flat, single layer of fabric where the iron can press evenly, such as the inside waistband or neckline. Avoid seams, zippers, and gathered elastic because the label can't adhere properly if the surface underneath isn't flat.

Are iron-on labels permanent, or can I remove them for hand-me-downs?

They are designed to be permanent. Once the label is stuck to the fabric, it often outlasts the clothing, which is exactly what you want on the onesie that has been through 40 wash cycles.

Pro tip: If you plan to pass clothes down to a sibling or donate them later, use your last name only, or place the label somewhere discreet.

What is the difference between Iron-On Clothing Labels and Tag Mates™ Stick On Clothing Labels?

Iron-On Clothing Labels are the best choice for tagless clothing and items like socks and towels. If most of your garments have a care tag, you’ll appreciate how easy our Tag Mates™ Stick On Clothing Labels are to use, as they peel-and-stick to clothing with no ironing or sewing. Another easy solution for tagless clothing is our Custom Clothing Stamp.
