Are Tag Mates a good choice for daycare and preschool clothing?
Yes, they're great for daycare clothing! Tag Mates peel and stick onto the care tag of your kids' clothing: sweaters, nap blankets, crib sheets, stuffies. No iron, no sewing required. They are laundry-safe through the washer and dryer, so they hold up to the daily wash cycle that daycare life demands.

Which size should I choose, the 100 small labels, or the 72 large?
The small size (13/16" x 3/8") is our most popular. It fits neatly on a standard care tag and you get 100 labels, which is the better pick if you are labeling a full wardrobe.
The large size (7/8" x 3/4") gives you 72 labels and is easier for little ones to spot themselves, which helps at daycare and preschool where younger kids are learning to find their own things.
Either size goes on the care tag, not directly on the fabric.
Why are my Tag Mates™ falling off in the laundry?
Our Tag Mates™ Stick On Clothing Labels are designed to stay put and virtually outlast clothing. They must be applied to a clothing care tag (i.e., the tag with the size and washing instructions), and are not guaranteed to stick when placed directly onto the clothing fabric. After applying Tag Mates to the care tag, we recommend waiting 24 hours before laundering. Wondering how to label tagless clothing? What's the difference between Tag Mates Stick-On Clothing Labels and Iron-On Clothing Labels?
The Tag Mates peel and stick directly to the clothing care tag and require no ironing or sewing. Please note that they are not guaranteed when used directly on fabric.
For items that don't have tags, we recommend our Iron-On Clothing Labels, which are designed to adhere directly to almost any iron-safe fabric, but take a few extra minutes to apply, or the Custom Clothing Stamp.
Can I use the Tag Mates clothing labels on other items?
Yes! Our Tag Mates are one of the most versatile types of labels we offer. The same thing that makes them waterproof through the washing machine also makes them waterproof through the dishwasher as long as it’s stuck to a smooth, flat surface! This makes it possible to use your Tag Mates on such things as bottles, phones, chargers, and school supplies, too!
Can I split this label pack between two kids?
Our production runs are set up so that the name and icon must be consistent throughout each item ordered. Unfortunately, we’re unable to accommodate splitting a product between multiple names However, we do offer a Family Name Label Pack, which allows you to add names and customize for two or more kids! Another way to make this work is to include only your surname on the tags!
