Before I was a mom, I had all kinds of ideas about how I would parent. No television. Limited processed foods. And I certainly wouldn’t stand for a tantrum in the grocery store. (Hah! I was so funny back then.)

As a blogger, I’m constantly looking for interesting topics and things to write about. The advice many writers give and receive is “write what you know” and in my experience, this is true. My best writing is generally that which deals with material I’m intimately familiar with.
I really enjoyed a recent post on the Mabelhood entitled “Real Men Can Handle Unicorn-Related Crises.” In it, the author shares her appreciation for her husband and the active role he plays in parenting their three little girls. She describes how he plays with unicorn stuffies and kisses boo-boos, but adds that it’s really so much more than that:
