It’s that dreaded question.…What’s for dinner tonight?
It could be asked by your spouse over text, it could be a question you silently ask yourself mid-afternoon when you realize you forgot to plan something, or it could be asked by your 10-year-old when he hops out of bed at 7am because he needs to know what the day has in store for him. (Hypothetically speaking, of course…)

I was born less than a month before Christmas, and my brother was born less than a month after Christmas. Growing up I always remember my parents commenting on how it can sometimes be frustrating having children born so close to the biggest holiday of the year. In my case, they were planning Christmas gifts but also had to buy me a birthday gift around the same time. In my brother’s case, they had to buy him a gift right after he already received everything he ever wanted!

By now, I’m sure we’ve all heard about Montessori schools and Montessori-style parenting. If you’re not familiar, the Montessori method of education is for children of all ages and levels and includes a lot of hands-on learning and practical life skills. This style of parenting has become very popular over the last few years and with everything going on in our world right now, it will likely become even more popular.
